Scofield City and Cemetery
Scofield, Utah 2007

Scofield is intriguing in both its history and potential for paranormal activities. The town has both the features of a rural family town and a near ghost town. The area is also known for many abandoned mines and a terrible mine disaster in 1900. This has long been an interest to us.

RIP, along with Adam from Unknown Utah, traveled to Scofield to investigate the Scofield cemetery along with some of the various locations within the town. We set up camp next to the reservoir just a short distance from the town, but unfortunately we arrived the same time as a unseasonable cold front. While investigating the cemetery, the temperatures dropped and we had to cut the investigation short. We headed back to camp and started a fire and the temperature continued to drop. When it began lightly snowing, our camp became unbearable since it was June and we weren’t prepared for freezing temperatures. We left most of our camp intact and fled with our equipment to the nearest town. Fortunately, as an exciting twist of fate, we ended up in Helper, Utah and met some fascinating folks who set us up with later investigations. We are hoping to go back and do a full Scofield investigation but hopefully in much warmer weather.
