Research and Investigation of the Paranormal (R.I.P.) is dedicated to the study of paranormal phenomena, mainly ghost and spirit research, through scientific means. This is done through our members, the community, other investigational groups, and anyone who's seeking out this type of paranormal activity as a non-profit service.
We believe that paranormal energy is a measurable and detectable form of energy, like any other. We use the scientific means available to us to validate or disprove unexplained events. R.I.P. employs extensive use of audio and visual media, field and temperature detectors, and other accepted scientific practices. We do not use "spiritualists," seances, mediums, or other paranormal means to validate or disprove paranormal claims. We recognize other groups may use these, but we desire a scientific approch to understanding the paranormal. We do not discriminate based on religion, beliefs, race, gender or orientation. We believe in the sharing of information as long as it does not violate copyright laws and we are willing and eager to help and assist in finding answers for those who are seeking resolution in paranormal activities. We also believe in professionalism and discretion when doing so, and we respect the privacy of those individuals who contact R.I.P. for investigations. Any information shared or shown on the website will require permission from the individuals, and it can be removed if requested in writing. Private investigations will occur upon request and therefore accident coverage and liabilities will not be the responsibility of R.I.P. Ghost hunting and investigation is not a fully developed nor predictable science and therefore results may vary. Any donations will be used for equipment, travel, community education, and investigational tools. We will gladly accept donations in the form of cash, equipment, gift certificates, or investigational materials. These will not be used for individual gain.
