Mercur ghost town is no longer in existence due to current vandalism and strip mining, but the old cemetery is still in place. On more than one occasion we spent time in the Mercur cemetery and so far other in a feeling of uneasiness we have found no evidence of a haunting occurring in or around this location. Current hunting and target practicing seem to be the present threat in this area.
