Utah Railway Caboose Car #55
Helper, Utah 2007

We were fortunate to spend time in this old railroad car late at night while taking a break from investigating the museum in Helper. The car’s interior was sadly stripped before making its new home next to the museum. While missing the original interior finish, it still had charm and an active atmosphere. We recorded EVPs while sitting quietly in the caboose and we all witnessed the noise of someone walking through the car while everyone remained stationary. The car seemed to sway with these shuffling sounds of footsteps, making us rethink the situation. The only known cause we could logically figure out for this phenomenon was the wind, but then the sound of shuffling around couldn’t have been caused by this.
