Research Investigations of the Paranormal is a non-profit organization designed to further exploration of enexplained phenomena through scientific means, education, and the support of other paranormal research groups. Research Investigations of the Paranormal is based in Utah and investigates ghosts and hauntings in the Intermountain West and the United States. RIP focuses on scientific ghost hunting, which means we use measurable proofs, hard evidence, and we avoid using paranormal means such as psychic activity to prove the paranormal. We focus on educating the public about ghosts as well as independent research. We also welcome guest investigators.As ghost hunters, we use photography to capture orbs (not usually paranormal), mists and entities, video to capture those supernatural occurrences, and audio to capture electronic voice phenomena - also known as EVPs. We will use infra-red cameras and thermometers, and EMF detectors when appropriate. We are based in Utah and have members all throughout the state.
